What is methamphetamine?
Methamphetamine, also called “meth,” is a highly addictive stimulant that is sold as a street drug, usually as white or off-white crystals or powder.
In rare circumstances, low doses of methamphetamine hydrochloride (Desoxyn®) are prescribed to treat ADHD or obesity. Other treatments are usually preferred because of the high risk for abuse and dependence with methamphetamine.
