DEA to hold medication take-back day on April 28

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is holding a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day this Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. You can use this free, no-questions-asked service to get rid of your old and unwanted medications.

Getting rid of medications you no longer need helps keep children and pets from getting into them. Medication take-back events are a safe way to get rid of these medications.  They help keep the medications from getting into the water supply and from being used for abuse.

Check out this medication disposal video put together by University of Vermont students in collaboration with the NNEPC.
